Game Design A Week: Could I do it?
One of the reasons I started this blog was to help people who are technically very able to make games but need help coming up with games that are really going to stand out.
Over a year ago I made this thread on the Gamedev.net forums and the responses I got to this were wholly positive. Someone also posted a link to this site which gave me the idea of doing my own Thing-A-Week Challenge.
This showed me there are definitely people in reading something like this. I just have to get into the routine of regularly posting and then promote myself of sites like these.
The question that poses itself is, could I do it? I know I’d like to share my ideas and get feedback. The hardest part is reminding myself to get started. I’ll start a tracker of some kind to mark off the weeks I manage a post as a way to keep my motivation going.
I wanted to find a way of doing diagrams to accompany my posts on the computer but it looks like you’re going to be getting pencil, outliner and alcohol pen illustrations; for now, at least.
I’d just like to add this will first run for three months to see if I can handle it (it’s also a lot easier to set your sights on.)
