I just got my USB soundcard working in Ubuntu 8.04. I edited a single line in a file and it worked. This is the point at which sound in linux came from being sufferable to being on the road to becoming good. Well done PulseAudio.

Today was the first day of work which went ok, compared to working at Asda it has the nice people without the mind numbing boredom.
