A short idea to get me warmed up [Hur hur hurr..]
This is a brief idea which requires little explanation: A sleeping bag or full body garment with a heating element for people who cannot afford to heat their whole house in these times of fuel companies gouging their customers. Aimed primarily at the elderly (and possibly students or people who’s heating has broken down) it could be available in one of many designs, a half pod which covers up to your waist for people who work at desks and get cold legs (Namely me), a more complete unit would be more like a sleeping bag with a hood (don’t heat the head, it exudes enough of it’s own heat, just insulate it) used for sitting around on the sofa and then the slacker deluxe which is a fully working body suit which can be used to warm you up and then insulate while the wearer wanders around their house.
Important features would include: Some kind of easy release cord so you can plug the cord into the wall, put on the warmer and then connect the warmer to the cord. Exceptional insulation: As people may use this at the exclusion of heating their whole house, keeping as much heat in the suit would be a priority. Unlike a sleeping bag, making the warmer easy to put on would be a priority, maybe the full body suit could come as a jacket and trousers that plug into each other and then into the cord.
Anyway, if someone has £5 Million in venture capital to peruse this idea, the email is in the “Contact” page.
