Internet isolation and the world in stop motion

I’ve decided to stay off the Internet for casual use for the next week (5th to 12th Mar) so I can get back into my stride.
Last night I spent a few hours installing steam on a 60gb external hard drive I had laying around, it had to re-download all the games but I just let that run overnight (damn you Virgin Media and your 80kB/s 4pm-12am bandwidth shaping) but now, not only are my games loading faster, but also, I can just plug the drive into anyone’s computer and play it from the hard drive, sans installation.
I had to put all my configuration data back in; I’ve got my TF2 keyboard setup sorted now, I use WASD for movement but have Q assigned to melee weapon “Shift” assigned to primary and “Caps Lock” as secondary; T and G are fourth and fifth (really only needed by engineer and spy). This setup, while it doesn’t let me change weapons on the fly in the same way as binding forward to right click it makes weapon switching nice and snappy (make sure to have “fast weapon switching” turned on) and benefits my two main classes (engineer and medic) whereas mouse bind would better suit the pyro or scout who need to change weapons quickly while moving.

Life in general is pretty suckish, I’m in another confidence dip and can’t feel like I’d ever be able to make any money. Well, next time.
